Mark Cain charged with murder of Royal Family GP Hannah Cain

Dr. Hannah Cain (also known as Dr. Hannah Terry), a 45-year-old GP who served in a medical pool for the British Royal Family, was found dead at her home in Dersingham, Norfolk, on October 4. The property is located approximately one mile from the Sandringham Estate.

Her husband, Mark Cain, 45, has been charged with murder. During a court appearance at Norwich Magistrates’ Court, he was remanded in custody and the case was referred to King’s Lynn Crown Court. Prosecutors stated that the ambulance service was called in the early hours of the incident after Mark Cain reported a suspected robbery involving a confrontation with an intruder.

A postmortem examination revealed that Dr. Cain suffered a blunt force injury to the right side of her head and injuries suggestive of neck compression. At the time of the incident, children were present in the home, including three of the couple's own children and guests attending a sleepover.

Dr. Cain was a member of the Grimston Medical Centre, which temporarily closed following her death. She had previously treated senior members of the Royal Family, including Queen Camilla. King Charles III and Queen Camilla have reportedly been informed of the tragedy.
