Piacenza City Council focuses on station area redevelopment
The Piacenza City Council is conducting a multi-day retreat to review ongoing projects and plan future initiatives. A primary focus of the discussions is the redevelopment of the station area, supported by 2 million euros in funding from the Emilia-Romagna Region.
While the funding is significant, the Mayor noted it is insufficient to cover all necessary improvements. Consequently, officials are prioritizing specific interventions, including enhancing lighting and security in commuter parking lots, improving bicycle storage, and addressing safety concerns in the Lupa zone. The council is also working on a “hot plan” for the upcoming summer season.
