Piedmont philanthropic initiatives launch educational and social programs

Several philanthropic initiatives in the Piedmont region of Italy are launching programs to support education and social regeneration.

The Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Asti has expanded its ‘Al fianco del talento’ project, selecting eight meritorious students from the Asti province for the 2026/2027 academic year. These students will receive up to 8,000 euros per year to support their university studies at institutions in Piedmont, alongside a personalized tutoring and mentoring program.

In a separate initiative, Fondazione CRT, SERMIG, and the Salesians have launched ‘Presìdi di Bellezza’, a three-year, 5.9 million euro program aimed at combating educational poverty. The project focuses on social regeneration in Turin and Avigliana. In Avigliana, the Casa Madonna dei Laghi will be transformed into a modern educational hub. In Turin, the program will target the Aurora and Barriera di Milano neighborhoods to address inequality and school dropout rates, with an estimated 6,000 total beneficiaries.
