The Piedmont region of Italy is engaging in various cultural, social, and educational initiatives.
On the international front, officials from the Piedmont Regional Council met with the President of the Federación de Asociaciones Piemontesas de Argentina (Fapa) to discuss strengthening cultural ties with the Argentine-Piedmontese community. These discussions focused on preserving Piedmontese language and traditions through engagement with younger generations, ahead of a planned congress in Buenos Aires in April 2027.
Domestically, philanthropic organizations have launched programs to address educational and social needs. The Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Asti has expanded its ‘Al fianco del talento’ project to provide scholarships and mentoring to meritorious students in the Asti province. Additionally, a 5.9 million euro program titled ‘Presìdi di Bellezza’—a collaboration between Fondazione CRT, SERMIG, and the Salesians—has been launched to combat educational poverty and promote social regeneration in Turin and Avigliana.
