Pierre Poilievre to campaign for Canadian unity in Alberta

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is scheduled to visit Alberta next week to campaign for Canadian unity ahead of a provincial referendum. Poilievre will deliver a keynote speech titled “The Canadian Drift: Reclaiming Confidence, Abundance and Freedom for Alberta” at the Canada Strong and Free Network conference in Calgary on October 16.

The event is expected to include an address from Alberta Premier Danielle Smith and participation from former premier Jason Kenney. Poilievre stated that he intends to conduct additional campaigning on the ground in the province, emphasizing that Canadians should work together to make the country safe, affordable, and independent.

Poilievre addressed recent comments from Elon Musk suggesting that Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Quebec should separate from Canada. Poilievre remarked that while individuals may post on social media, “what affects Canada is the decisions made by the Canadian people.”
