Pilgrims trek toward Jasna Góra in Poland

Various religious pilgrimages are currently underway in Poland, with participants traveling on foot toward the Jasna Góra monastery in Częstochowa.

A group of pilgrims from Ozorków is scheduled to pass through Lutomiersk on August 19. Arriving around 17:30, the group will stay overnight at a local school before departing at 07:00 on August 20 via Dobroń. Local authorities have advised motorists and pedestrians to exercise caution due to potential traffic disruptions during the transit.

Separately, the 44th annual Tarnów Walking Pilgrimage, themed ‘Sent’, is in progress. Among the participants is Group No. 12, dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel, which includes pilgrims from the Dębica-West and Pilzno deaneries. This group is undertaking a nine-day journey covering over 200 kilometers, aiming to reach Jasna Góra by August 25.
