Pilgrimages and historical marches proceed across Poland

Various religious and patriotic marches are currently taking place across Poland, with several groups making their way toward Jasna Góra and Kielce.

Multiple walking pilgrimages are nearing their destination at the Jasna Góra sanctuary. Groups from Lublin, Rzeszów, Świnoujście, and several other regions are traversing hundreds of kilometers, often walking between 25 and 35 kilometers daily. These journeys involve large numbers of participants and a significant network of volunteers and local residents providing food and support. Some groups have been traveling for nine days, overcoming heat and physical challenges.

In a separate historical commemoration, the 61st March of the First Cadre Company (Marsz Szlakiem Pierwszej Kompanii Kadrowej) is underway. Approximately 350 participants, including soldiers and civilians, are retracing the steps of Józef Piłsudski’s legionnaires from 1914. The march, which began on August 6, is heading toward Kielce and has recently passed through Małogoszcz, where participants paid respects at the graves of fallen legionnaires and soldiers from the National Armed Forces.
