Pinerolo hosts gathering of over 15,000 Alpini

The city of Pinerolo hosted the 28th gathering of the 1st Raggruppamento of the Associazione Nazionale Alpini (ANA) from September 18 to 20, 2026. The event drew over 15,000 Alpini participants from Piedmont, Liguria, Valle d’Aosta, and France.

Key celebrations included the granting of honorary citizenship to the Pinerolo Section and a drone light show depicting Alpine history and symbols. The gathering concluded with a traditional parade through the city streets. The hosting duties for the next gathering in 2027 will pass to Intra.

To manage the large crowd, the Croce Verde Pinerolo provided medical assistance using 53 volunteers and 14 ambulances. Their deployment included an Advanced Medical Post and various rescue teams stationed strategically throughout the city to ensure the safety of both participants and the public.
