Pink Month awareness events held in Cabimas and Puerto Morelos

Community events were held in Cabimas, Venezuela, and Puerto Morelos, Mexico, to promote breast cancer awareness and early detection during Pink Month.

In Cabimas, the fifth edition of the ‘Marea Rosa’ featured a 5K walk involving over one thousand participants. Organized by a committee including Ruth Parra de Caberlin, the event aimed to foster prevention and awareness. Over its five-year history, the initiative has provided specialized studies, medical consultations, and psychological support to more than one thousand people. The event was supported by the Cabimas Mayor's Office, Immujer, and various commercial brands.

In Puerto Morelos, approximately 100 people participated in the ‘Carrera Rosa,’ a 3.5-kilometer race organized by the Municipal Women's Institute (IMM) in coordination with several local hotels. The event emphasized the link between physical activity and health, encouraging regular medical check-ups and self-examination. Local officials and hotel representatives participated in awarding prizes to winners in both female and male categories.
