Piotr Moczulski returns to Poland after two years in Philippine hospital

Piotr Moczulski, a 42-year-old Polish man, has returned to Poland following a two-year struggle to be repatriated after a severe scooter accident on Cebu Island, Philippines. The accident, which occurred in the spring of 2024, resulted in serious head injuries and limb fractures.

After facing significant financial challenges with hospital costs exceeding one million PLN, Moczulski was finally transported back to Poland in September 2026. The medical evacuation was facilitated by the Polish Minister of National Defence, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, who authorized the use of a military Gulfstream G550 aircraft for the mission.

Upon arrival, Moczulski was admitted to the University Clinical Hospital in Białystok. He has since been moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Medical staff are currently reviewing his medical documentation from the Philippines to determine a further course of treatment. Access to the patient is currently restricted to immediate family members.
