Piotr Moczulski to return to Poland via government medical flight
Piotr Moczulski, a Polish citizen who has been hospitalized in the Philippines for over two years, is being repatriated to Poland via a specialized government medical flight. The mission is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of National Defence, the Białystok municipal government, and Moczulski’s family.
Moczulski’s condition stems from a severe scooter accident in a jungle, which resulted in a traumatic brain injury, brain swelling, and multiple fractures. He has required intensive care, including oxygen therapy and tube feeding, at a hospital in Cebu. A G550 aircraft, modified for medical transport, has been dispatched to facilitate his return.
Upon arrival in Warsaw, Moczulski will be transported by ambulance to the University Clinical Hospital in Białystok. The facility is prepared to receive him through its Emergency Department, utilizing the region’s only Multi-organ Trauma Center. Tomasz Moczulski, the patient's brother, has already reunited with Piotr in the Philippines following a briefing involving approximately 40 specialists to finalize the transport details.
