Italy commemorates the one-year anniversary of the death of Pippo Baudo, a legendary television presenter who passed away in Rome on August 16, 2025, at the age of 89. Baudo was a central figure in Italian broadcasting for over six decades, known for his authoritative and versatile style. He was a key member of the generation of great hosts that included Mike Bongiorno and Corrado.

To honor his legacy, Rai has organized a day of special programming across its television, radio, and digital platforms. Highlights include the special “Stasera… Pippo Baudo” on Rai 1, featuring archival footage from his iconic career, including his 13 editions of the Sanremo Music Festival.
