Poland's PiS rallies Czarnek and Morawiecki while Kaczyński appears in prosecutor’s office

Law and Justice (PiS) leaders displayed a united front ahead of the 2027 parliamentary election. In Gorzów Wielkopolski, party vice‑presidents Przemysław Czarnek and former prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki appeared together on stage. Morawiecki told supporters, “we are not entitled to a return to power,” urging the party to present a new vision rather than rely on past achievements.

Meanwhile, PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński attended a scheduled interview at the Warsaw District Prosecutor’s Office regarding the long‑running “two towers” case involving the party‑linked company Srebrna. The investigation, revived after a change of government, concerns alleged misuse of public funds for a cancelled skyscraper project and the death of former aide Barbara Skrzypek, who died shortly after being questioned. Kaczyński asserted the probe is politically motivated, while prosecutors maintain the case proceeds on legal grounds.

Both events underline internal efforts to consolidate PiS’s image and address legal challenges as the party prepares for the next election cycle.
