Pisco murder suspects transferred to Chincha prison
Two suspects involved in high-profile murders in Pisco have been transferred to the Chincha penitentiary under preventive detention.
Alexander del Piero Figueroa Mendívil, known as ‘Tunche,’ is accused of being a member of the ‘Los sanguinarios de Pisco’ gang and the alleged perpetrator in the killing of tourism entrepreneur Cristian Ayvar Laura. The judiciary has ordered 18 months of preventive detention for him.
The second individual, José Gregorio Dumas Rodríguez, alias ‘Pelo de Oro,’ is accused of murdering National Police officer Carlos Aurel Núñez Pérez during a robbery at a liquor store in Pisco on July 29.
In separate police operations in the Ica region, authorities also detained a 40-year-old man wanted for aggravated theft and a 27-year-old man with an active warrant for crimes against sexual liberty involving a minor.
