PIS/Pasep salary bonus: 2026 regular payment schedule concludes
The regular payment schedule for the 2026 PIS/Pasep salary bonus, based on the 2024 base year, concluded in August. While no new batches are scheduled for September, funds already released remain available for withdrawal until December 30, 2026.
For the 2026 cycle, the Ministry of Labor and Employment has formalized the release of resources for approximately 26.9 million workers, with an estimated total of R$ 33.5 billion. The last payment batch in August distributed R$ 5.2 billion to 4.1 million workers born in November and December.
To be eligible, workers must have been registered in the system for at least five years, worked at least 30 days during 2024, and earned an average monthly income of up to R$ 2,765.93. The bonus amounts range from R$ 136 to R$ 1,621. Payments are managed by Caixa Econômica Federal for private sector workers (PIS) and Banco do Brasil for public servants (Pasep).
A recent fiscal reorganization has changed how the income limit is adjusted; it no longer follows the minimum wage evolution but is instead adjusted exclusively by inflation (IPCA). This technical change is intended to limit government spending and will gradually restrict access for certain income brackets through 2035.
