PIS/Pasep: Unclaimed funds available for workers from 1971 to 1988

Workers who were formally employed or served as public servants between 1971 and 1988 may be entitled to unclaimed funds from the former PIS/Pasep quotas. These resources, which were transferred to the National Treasury, are distinct from the current annual salary bonus.

According to the reimbursement calendar, those who submitted requests by the recent deadline will receive payments on October 26. For individuals who missed this window, the final deadline to request these values has been extended until September 2028. Eligible claimants include the original workers and their legal heirs or dependents.

To check for available balances, citizens can use the Repis Cidadão portal via the Ministry of Finance or the FGTS application. Accessing these digital services requires a Gov.br account with silver or gold status. Alternatively, individuals may visit a Caixa Econômica Federal branch to consult and request reimbursement.
