Pitești’s Nicolae Dobrin Stadium construction moves forward

Construction of the new Nicolae Dobrin Stadium in Pitești, Romania is progressing, with 80% of the parking‑area pillars already erected and work continuing on the stands and foundations. The project, financed by the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration through the National Investment Company, is being executed by the CONSTRUCTII ERBASU & TERRA GAZ CONSTRUCT partnership along with other contractors.

The 15,200‑seat arena will be the first in Romania to operate exclusively on renewable energy, incorporating heat‑pump technology and dedicated parking for electric vehicles. Planned facilities include modern spaces for athletes, media, officials and commercial areas, with an expected inauguration in 2028. Local football club FC Argeș Pitești welcomed the progress, saying “Suntem pe drumul cel bun?” (We are on the right track?).
