PKP Intercity announces ticket promotions and renewable energy expansion

PKP Intercity has announced several promotional campaigns to celebrate its 25th anniversary and various social milestones. Between September 23 and 25, 2026, the carrier is offering a 35% discount on selected single-journey domestic tickets.

Special targeted offers include a 10 PLN ticket for seniors (those aged 60 and older) on October 20, 2026, to mark European Senior Day. Additionally, a 10 PLN promotion will be available for students, teachers, and researchers on October 14, 2026, for National Education Day. These senior and student promotions apply to various train categories, including Pendolino (EIP), though specific terms regarding seat reservations and direct routes apply.

On the operational side, PKP Intercity has extended its cooperation with PGE Energetyka Kolejowa to ensure stable electricity supplies through 2028. The agreement aims to increase the use of renewable energy, with the goal of having 100% of the contracted energy volume covered by renewable energy source (RES) guarantees by 2028.
