PKP PLK receives bids for major railway modernization near German border

PKP PLK has received eleven bids for a major railway modernization project near the German border. The tender involves reconstructing the line between Gumieńce and the border, including the construction of a second track, electrification, and the modernization of the Szczecin Gumieńce station. The project also includes building a new station in Kołbaskowo and stops in Przecław and Warzymice, as well as constructing viaducts to eliminate level crossings.

The lowest bid for the basic scope of work is 958 million PLN, which exceeds the original budget of 894 million PLN by approximately 63 million PLN. Bids from participating companies range from 958 million PLN to 1.226 billion PLN. Additional options under consideration include extending the second track from Szczecin Główny to Szczecin Gumieńce and adding a stop at Szczecin Pomorzany Pętla.
