Planned power outages hit Montenegro and Bosnia on Aug 6
On Thursday, 6 August, electricity distributors in the Balkans announced scheduled power cuts. Montenegro’s Crnogorski elektrodistributivni sistem (CEDIS) will interrupt supply to numerous neighborhoods across Podgorica, Danilovgrad, Nikšić, Bar, Ulcinj, Kotor, Andrijevica, Berane, Petnjica and other municipalities for periods ranging from early morning to late afternoon. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elektroprivreda BiH listed planned outages for Sarajevo districts including Žuč, Dobrinja, Koševo Brdo, Sumbul Avde, Nahorevo Selo, Panjina Kula, Karaula and others, with interruption times between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Both utilities cite necessary maintenance on transformer stations and other energy facilities as the reason for the temporary loss of electricity.
