Platanos stabbing injures musician Dimitris Fotios' son, father urges witnesses

Early on Sunday in the town of Platanos, the minor son of well‑known Larnaca musician and entrepreneur Dimitris Fotios was attacked with a knife. The boy was struck three times in the thigh, one wound just a centimetre from the main artery, while passing by a café in the town centre with friends.

He was first taken to the Litochoro Health Centre and then transferred to the General Hospital of Katerini, where he escaped life‑threatening danger. Fotios posted a public appeal on social media, writing, "My son received three knife wounds to the thigh, one only a centimetre from the main artery," and asked anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to contact the police. Authorities have launched an investigation, but the attacker has not yet been identified.
