Playas de Rosarito reports high hotel occupancy and upcoming holiday festivities
Playas de Rosarito reported strong tourism results for the summer season, highlighted by high hotel occupancy during the U.S. Labor Day weekend. According to the Asociación de Hoteles y Moteles de Playas de Rosarito (AMHM), occupancy reached 100 percent on Saturday, September 5, with rates of 71 percent on Friday and 81 percent on Sunday. César Rivera González, president of the AMHM, attributed these figures to targeted promotion in Southern California and improved service quality.
In addition to tourism trends, the southern communities of Primo Tapia and Santa Anita are preparing for Mexican Independence Day celebrations on September 15 and 16. The festivities will include civic ceremonies, traditional parades, and community activities such as a rodeo. Local authorities, including Mayor Rocío Adame and delegate Jaime Peña Bustamante, have coordinated security and civil protection measures to manage the expected crowds and ensure public safety during the events.
