Naughty Dog celebrates The Last of Us Day 2026 with new reveals

Naughty Dog is celebrating The Last of Us Day 2026 with several announcements and digital releases. To mark the occasion, the studio has released a free animated background for the PlayStation 5 Welcome Hub, featuring characters Ellie, Joel, and Abby.

Major reveals are scheduled for Monday, September 28, including partnership announcements, a special collaboration, and a charity stream on Twitch focused on the ‘No Return’ mode. Additional celebrations include new player avatars for PlayStation and Steam, a partnership with Youtooz for a Bloody Clicker figure, and a Ghost of Yotei collaboration featuring Clicker-inspired armor.

Regarding the HBO television adaptation, the cast for the third season has been expanded. John Goodman will join the series as Joey, while Ian Alexander and Laura Bailey will take on new, original roles as Paco and Elizabeth, respectively. Alexander and Bailey previously provided voices for characters in the video game franchise.
