Plaza Rural to auction over 12,600 cattle in Uruguay
Plaza Rural will hold its 329th auction on Thursday, October 15, and Friday, October 16, at the Hotel Cottage in Carrasco. The event features an offering of 12,674 cattle and 1,610 sheep distributed across 235 lots.
Agronomist Gonzalo Indarte of Indarte y Cía. noted a positive market trend, citing increased demand from large meatpacking plants and favorable pasture conditions due to recent rainfall. This demand has contributed to rising prices in categories such as steers and cows.
To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Plaza Rural is conducting a 'Sorteo de Oro' giveaway, offering two new BYD electric vehicles to participating buyers and sellers. The auction will be broadcast via Campo TV and online.
