Pleszew municipality launches senior service via doctors

The town of Pleszew in Poland is introducing a new programme to help senior residents access municipal social services through local family doctors. Health centres will receive specially prepared information blocks that doctors can hand to older patients during routine visits, detailing available assistance, any fees and a contact number for direct enrolment.

Mayor Arkadiusz Ptak explained, "We asked doctors to use these notes when recording patient details and to point them to the services they should use," emphasizing that the service catalogue will be updated quarterly to keep information current.
