Pljevlja opens 2.2 million euro Agriculture House
A new Agriculture House has opened in Pljevlja, Montenegro, representing an investment of approximately 2.2 million euros. The facility is designed to centralize various institutions and services to provide streamlined support for local farmers and livestock breeders.
The center will house the Regional Office of the Payment Agency, advisory services, and inspection bodies from the Food Safety, Veterinary, and Phytosanitary Administration, alongside the municipal agricultural service. This consolidation aims to provide producers with easier access to information, advice, and institutional support.
Minister of Agriculture Vladimir Joković stated that the opening is a significant step for improving support in northern Montenegro, noting that Pljevlja is a vital center for livestock and agricultural production. He emphasized that the ministry is working with local authorities to increase investments in the region, noting that over 4 million euros have been directed toward rural development, road infrastructure, and water supply in Pljevlja in recent years.
