Indonesia's PLN says midnight token purchases possible and tariffs unchanged since 2022

Consumers in Indonesia can purchase prepaid electricity tokens at any time through the PLN Mobile app or mobile‑banking services. While the service operates 24 hours, PLN advises avoiding transactions between 23:00 and 01:00 local time because system cut‑offs and maintenance may delay processing.

PLN also clarified that residential electricity tariffs have not been increased since July 2022. Variations in monthly bills are attributed to changes in consumption patterns and regional cost components such as the Road Lighting Tax, stamp duties and applicable VAT. The utility urges customers to understand these factors to manage their electricity use more efficiently.
