Plovdiv 112 volunteers demonstrate emergency response capabilities

The volunteer formation ‘Plovdiv 112’, operating under the Plovdiv Municipality, conducted a large-scale practical demonstration at Stefan Stambolov Square. The event showcased emergency response protocols for fires, natural disasters, and various accident scenarios.

During the demonstration, volunteers performed life-saving maneuvers, demonstrated the use of CO2 and powder fire extinguishers, and practiced first aid techniques. The formation also presented its specialized technical equipment, including two high-mobility vehicles. One vehicle features a mobile extinguishing system designed to reach difficult or narrow terrains that standard large fire trucks cannot access.

Kiril Brandiski, head of Plovdiv 112, credited the municipality for providing necessary equipment and machinery. The group has a history of active service, including a week of continuous work following a severe storm in Plovdiv to clear debris and drain flooded buildings, as well as assisting in firefighting efforts in locations such as Streltsi and Malo Krushevo.
