Plovdiv hosts 22nd Autumn Salon of Arts with extensive cultural program

The 22nd edition of the Autumn Salon of Arts opened in Plovdiv on 1 September 2026, coinciding with the city’s role as the European Capital of Culture. The festival, organized by the Plovdiv Municipality together with cultural institutions and artistic guilds, features a wide range of events across music, theatre, dance, literature, visual arts, exhibitions and installations.

The opening ceremony took place at the Ancient Theatre and included the premiere of the monodrama “The Last Escape of Don Juan”, directed by Deyan Donkov with a text by Nedialko Slavov. The production’s original music was composed by Asen Avramov, while video design and 3‑D mapping were created by Maya Vselenska. Tickets are available online through Eventim and Grabo.
