Plovdiv prepares for July 2026 PhillGood and Hills of Rock music festivals

The Bulgarian city of Plovdiv will host two major music festivals in July 2026. PhillGood is scheduled for 17‑19 July and Hills of Rock for 24‑26 July at the Rowing Base (Grebna baza). The events are organized by Fest Team in partnership with the Plovdiv municipality and are promoted as a month‑long "PhillGood Month" with city‑wide installations, graffiti artwork, a bar circuit of 16 venues, and a bilingual festival guide.

City authorities have deployed heightened security: the Regional Police Directorate, gendarmerie units and a private security firm will monitor the festival zone, enforce a controlled entry system via the "Chayka" hall, issue wristbands to ticket holders and guard a dedicated parking area on Karpovitsa Boulevard between "Shesti Septemvri" and "Maritsa" boulevards. Police have warned that intoxicated, masked or armed individuals will be barred from entry, in line with Bulgarian assembly laws.

The festivals are expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors, including many from abroad, and the municipality has arranged extended public transport hours and additional amenities to accommodate the crowds.
