Plovdiv to transform Mladezhka Street into a 7.7 million euro linear park
A major reconstruction project for Mladezhka Street in Plovdiv has been announced, with an estimated value of approximately 7.7 million euros excluding VAT. The project aims to transform the area into a large linear park connecting Shesti Septemvri, Vasil Aprilov, and Koprivshtitsa boulevards.
The redevelopment includes approximately 13.7 decares of green space, 1.5 kilometers of bicycle paths, 5,900 square meters of sidewalks, and various recreational zones such as playgrounds, a fitness area, and a climbing facility. A central feature will be Nikola Mushanov Square, which is designed to include a water zone shaped like a river and a lake.
Beyond surface improvements, the project involves a complete overhaul of underground infrastructure, including new water supply lines, sewage systems, and a comprehensive drainage system with an automated irrigation network. The construction is expected to take 24 months, with 1.2 million euros allocated in the 2026 budget to initiate the process.
