Plzeň police record 41 violations at tuning rally

Police identified 41 violations during a tuning car rally held on August 29 near Chotíkov, close to Plzeň. The event, which took place at a shopping center parking lot, drew approximately 100 vehicles, 30 motorcycles, and 300 people.

According to police spokesperson Ondřej Hodan, the most frequent infractions involved vehicles in unsuitable technical condition and speeding. Other issues identified included a driver with an outstanding balance in the Central Registry of Overpayments and Underpayments, as well as one offense involving property.

This incident follows several similar gatherings in the Plzeň and Tachov regions throughout the summer. Previous rallies have resulted in more severe legal consequences, including drivers caught operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and individuals driving while under a multi-year license suspension.
