PM Kisan Samman Nidhi: Fraud investigations and subsidy updates

Authorities are intensifying efforts to identify and penalize ineligible beneficiaries of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Through e-KYC, Aadhaar verification, and land record synchronization, officials are detecting instances where individuals used fraudulent documents, false declarations, or deceased persons' identities to claim the annual ₹6,000 subsidy.

In cases of confirmed fraud, the government intends to initiate recovery processes for the funds distributed and may pursue legal action under laws related to forgery and fraud.

In Madhya Pradesh, the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana provides an additional ₹6,000 annually to eligible farmers in three installments, which, when combined with the central PM Kisan scheme, can total ₹12,000 per year. While farmers await updates on upcoming installments, officials advise checking bank details and official portals if payments are delayed.
