PM-KISAN scheme prepares for 24th installment release
The Indian government is preparing to release the 24th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, which provides annual financial assistance of ₹6,000 to eligible farmers in three equal installments of ₹2,000. While an official date has not been announced, the installment is expected around October 2026 or potentially before the Diwali festival.
To ensure the successful transfer of funds via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has emphasized that beneficiaries must complete three critical requirements: completing e-KYC verification, ensuring land seeding (physical verification of cultivable land) is updated, and linking their bank accounts with Aadhaar. Failure to complete these steps may result in the automatic withholding of payments. Additionally, new applicants are required to obtain a digital Farmer ID.
