On the sidelines of the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held several bilateral meetings with world leaders to strengthen strategic and developmental ties.

President Évariste Ndayishimiye of Burundi, acting as the Chairperson of the African Union, advocated for a stronger Africa-BRICS partnership focusing on water, energy, and transport infrastructure. He also discussed the early convening of the 4th India-Africa Forum Summit (IAFS-IV) and noted India's role in securing African Union membership in the G20.

In discussions with Philippines President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the two leaders agreed to advance their Strategic Partnership, specifically in defense, security, space, and emerging technologies. The Philippines also committed to joining the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI).

Prime Minister Modi also met with Uganda's Vice President Jessica Rose Epel Alupo, reaffirming India's support for Uganda's ‘Vision 2040’. Their talks focused on technology, healthcare, and agriculture. Additionally, Modi met with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto to discuss further strengthening bilateral relations.
