PM Modi expected to visit US for G20 summit in December

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit the United States in December to attend the G20 Leaders Summit. The summit is scheduled to take place on December 14 and 15, 2026, at the Trump National Doral Miami in Florida, hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump.

If the visit proceeds, a bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Modi and President Trump is anticipated. Additionally, preparations are reportedly underway for a Quad summit involving India, the United States, Japan, and Australia to be held alongside the G20 proceedings.

U.S. Ambassador Sergio Gor has previously indicated that the United States would welcome the Prime Minister's return for the G20. While there are also discussions regarding a potential subsequent bilateral visit to Canada, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has not yet released an official schedule for these travels.
