PM-SETU approves Rs 735.70 crore for ITI clusters in three Indian states
The National Steering Committee for the Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs (PM-SETU) has approved Rs 735.70 crore for three Industrial Training Institute (ITI) clusters in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Telangana.
In Rajasthan, Rs 241 crore is allocated to the Bhiwadi cluster, involving five ITIs and led by H. G. Infra Engineering. In Telangana, Rs 254.30 crore is designated for the Medchal cluster, involving five ITIs and led by ZEN Technologies. In Uttar Pradesh, Rs 240.40 crore is approved for the Meerut cluster, involving five ITIs under the National Skill Development Corporation.
The investments aim to modernize infrastructure, upgrade existing trades, and introduce new industry-aligned courses through a hub-and-spoke model. This latest approval brings the total sanctioned investment for nine ITI clusters under the scheme to Rs 2,171 crore. The broader PM-SETU initiative has an overall outlay of Rs 60,000 crore and intends to upgrade 1,000 government ITIs nationwide.
