PNL deputies rule out PSD coalition, propose alternating minority governments
PNL vice‑president Alexandru Muraru said the party will not amend its decision to avoid governing with PSD, calling the rival’s tactics “deeply undemocratic” and accusing it of causing the current political crisis. Muraru outlined a plan for two successive minority cabinets – first a PNL‑USR‑UDMR government, then a PSD‑led administration – to ensure stability without a formal alliance.
Deputy Ionel Bogdan echoed the refusal to partner with PSD, emphasizing that trust vanishes when commitments are broken. He described PSD as a “money‑hunter” and declared the coalition with the Social Democrats a closed chapter for PNL, calling for loyal partners instead of opportunistic ones.
