PNL Gorj establishes new leadership nucleus

The National Political Bureau of the National Liberal Party (PNL) has decided to establish a leadership nucleus to coordinate activities for the PNL Gorj organization. This new leadership group will be coordinated by Deputy Gigel Știrbu and includes Virgil Popescu, Dumitru Vulpe, Dorel Chirițescu, and Ioan Sîrbu.

Ioan Sîrbu, a reserve general who previously served as interim president of PNL Gorj, stated that he views this stage as a ‘new beginning’ built on unity, dialogue, and mutual respect. He emphasized that he holds no resentment toward his colleagues and aims to build a united team to attract new members who believe in liberal values and the Gorj region.

The restructuring follows a period of leadership changes in the local branch, including the previous leadership of Ion Iordache after decisions from a party congress were suspended by a court.
