PNV and PSE-EE prioritize security in Basque Parliament

The Basque Nationalist Party (PNV) and the Basque Socialist Party (PSE-EE) have requested a monographic plenary session in the Basque Parliament to address security concerns. This initiative aims to present the findings of the Basque Security Forum, which involved 33 meetings and approximately 1,000 participants.

The discussions are intended to serve as a foundation for the upcoming Comprehensive Security Plan 2026-2030. This strategic roadmap will coordinate resources, technology, and law enforcement institutions to combat crime and improve public safety.

PNV spokesperson Joseba Díez Antxustegi emphasized the need to acknowledge existing security issues to resolve them, positioning the party's stance in contrast to Bildu. Meanwhile, PSE-EE members advocated for rigorous policies that address societal concerns without resorting to alarmist discourse.
