POCO launches M8 Power smartphone with 8000 mAh battery in India

POCO unveiled the M8 Power, a budget‑friendly 5G smartphone aimed at the Indian market. The device is powered by an 8000 mAh silicon‑carbon battery that POCO says can last up to three days of typical use, with 45 W wired fast charging and 22.5 W reverse charging. It features a 6.9‑inch Full‑HD+ AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass 7i and rated IP65 for dust and water resistance. Inside, the phone runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, 6 GB or 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128 GB UFS 2.2 storage (expandable via microSD), and a dual‑camera setup headed by a 50 MP Light Fusion 400 sensor plus an 8 MP front camera. Software is Android 16‑based HyperOS 3, with a promise of four Android version upgrades and six years of security patches. POCO announced pricing of ₹21,999–₹27,999 (approximately $290–$350) and said the phone will be available from August 7 on Flipkart in three colour options: Blaze Orange, Green and Black. The launch positions the M8 Power as a high‑endurance, mid‑range alternative for consumers who prioritize battery life and display quality.
