POCO launches M8x 5G in India with 7,900 mAh battery
POCO has officially launched the M8x 5G smartphone in India, positioning it as an entry-level device with high-capacity battery and display features. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset, built on a 4nm process, making it one of the first devices in India to utilize this specific processor.
Key specifications include a 6.9-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. The standout feature is a 7,900 mAh battery, which the company claims can last up to three days of normal use. The device supports 45W wired fast charging and includes 22.5W reverse wired charging capabilities.
The smartphone features a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP selfie camera. It is offered with up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, with expandable memory via microSD. Running on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, POCO has committed to four major Android updates and six years of security updates. The device is priced starting at approximately 20,999 rupees (around $250) for the base model.
