POCO launches X8 5G with 8,340 mAh silicon-carbon battery

POCO has officially announced the X8 5G, a smartphone featuring a high-capacity 8,340 mAh battery. The device utilizes new silicon-carbon battery technology with 13% silicon content, allowing the large capacity to fit within a compact 8.6 mm body. The battery supports 67W fast charging and is designed to maintain at least 80% health after 1,600 charging cycles.

In terms of durability, the device is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and holds IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications, making it resistant to dust, deep water, and high-pressure hot water. The phone features a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by a Snapdragon processor.
