POCO X8s nears launch following IMDA certification

The POCO X8s is nearing its official launch following certification by Singapore’s IMDA. The listing, submitted by Xiaomi Electronics, identifies the device as a 5G mobile phone equipped with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC.

While official specifications have not been released, rumors and model number analysis suggest the device will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset paired with 12GB of RAM. It is also expected to run Android 16 out of the box. The phone is anticipated to be available in global markets, including Europe, Turkey, and Russia, though reports indicate it may not be released in India. A Chinese version under the Redmi brand is also expected.

Additional leaks suggest the device may include a 50MP main camera with various zoom capabilities. Although the model number 2609CPC5FG contains a prefix that could imply a September 2026 timeline, the frequency of recent certifications suggests a launch may occur much sooner.
