Podkarpackie launches tourism subsidies and Middle East market expansion

The Podkarpackie region is implementing new initiatives to boost tourism. A new subsidy program, ‘Podkarpackie Czeki Turystyczne’, offers tourists 300 PLN towards accommodation costs for stays of at least two nights. Funded by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism and the regional government, the 3 million PLN pool is divided into three recruitment phases to encourage travel during the off-season, particularly in autumn. Over 370 accommodation facilities have already joined the program.

Simultaneously, the Podkarpacka Regional Tourism Organization (PROT) is working to expand the region's reach into the Middle Eastern market. Recent visits by tour operators and influencers from the Gulf countries have highlighted the potential of areas such as Bieszczady, Solina, and Rzeszów. PROT has conducted specialized training and study tours to present the region's infrastructure and natural assets to wealthy travelers from the Gulf, aiming to establish Podkarpackie as a destination for high-standard, nature-focused tourism.
