Podkarpackie Tourist Voucher offers 300 PLN subsidies for travelers
The Podkarpackie Tourist Voucher program is launching to provide 300 PLN subsidies for travelers staying at least two nights in participating accommodations. The first round of applications opens on Monday, September 14, at 12:00 PM via the official website. The program is designed to boost tourism in border regions that have seen decreased activity due to the war in Ukraine.
Funding for the Podkarpackie-specific initiative is split between the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, which supports seniors and Large Family Card holders, and the Podkarpackie Voivodeship Self-government, which extends the benefit to other adult Polish citizens. The total budget for this regional program is 2,340,000 PLN, intended to cover approximately 7,800 vouchers.
On a broader scale, the Ministry of Sport and Tourism has allocated 6 million PLN to support tourism across four provinces: Podkarpackie, Lubelskie, Podlaskie, and Warmińsko-Mazurskie. Ireneusz Raś, Deputy Minister of Sport and Tourism, indicated that the government is considering expanding such tourist vouchers to the entire country by autumn 2027, provided additional funds are secured from the Sejm.
