Podlaski Czek Turystyczny issues 6,700 tourism vouchers
The first round of the Podlaski Czek Turystyczny program saw approximately 6,668 vouchers issued for overnight stay subsidies in the Podlaskie region. The program, which provides 300 PLN for a minimum of two nights, replaced the previous Podlaski Bon Turystyczny. This initiative aims to support the local tourism industry, which has been impacted by the geopolitical situation near the border with Belarus, while promoting the region as a safe destination.
The application process, which opened on September 1, 2026, saw nearly 15,000 users visit the website. The available funds were exhausted within two hours. The distribution included 1,334 vouchers for general tourists, 2,667 for seniors, and 2,667 for Large Family Card holders. The highest demand came from residents of the Mazowieckie, Podlaskie, Lubelskie, Łódzkie, and Śląskie voivodeships.
Vouchers from this round can be redeemed from September 2 to September 30, 2026. To ensure better utilization of funds, the program will hold subsequent recruitment rounds in early October and early November.
