Poggio a Caiano completes school renovations by August

In Poggio a Caiano, municipal renovation works on local schools are scheduled for completion by the end of August. These interventions aim to ensure safety and modernize facilities for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year.

The projects address structural issues, including repairs to ceilings and corridors in the “Filippo Mazzei”, “Lorenzo il Magnifico”, and “Edmondo De Amicis” complexes. Following investigations into plaster detachment and floor issues, the administration opted to conduct the most critical repairs during the summer to avoid disrupting students and staff.

Additional maintenance includes extraordinary roof repairs, painting of several rooms, window refurbishment, and the replacement of emergency lighting. Work on the “Mazzei” complex is expected to conclude by August 31.
