Pokemon 30th Anniversary Merchandise Rolls Out in Japan
Shimaura’s online store, Shimaura Park, began selling a range of Pokemon costume hats and full‑body suits on 3 August. The lineup includes hat designs such as Co‑i‑king and Pikachu (¥2,200‑¥3,300) and full suits of Black‑Ky, Mewtwo and Charizard with tails or wings (¥7,590 each).
McDonald’s Japan launched a limited‑time "Pokemon" Happy Set from 7 August, running for about three weeks. The promotion offers twelve different toys across three weekly waves, featuring starter‑generation Pokémon like Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle and newer characters such as Eevee and Snorlax. Each toy is priced at ¥510 and is available at all participating McDonald’s outlets nationwide, with a cap of six sets per transaction during the first three days.
Both releases celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary and target collectors and families across the country.
