Pokémon and LEGO enthusiasts celebrate with retail events and custom builds

Pokémon fans are seeing new engagement through both retail events and creative community builds. A Target location in Westbury, Long Island, is hosting an interactive Pokémon Training Ground on August 23 to celebrate the release of new LEGO Pokémon sets. The event, one of only four such occurrences in the United States, features building stations, sticker activities, and photo opportunities with a life-size brick Pikachu.

In the fan community, designer Joffre Bricks has released an alternative LEGO build for the Rowlet Pokémon. Using pieces from the LEGO Cute Animals (31382) set, the design allows builders to create a representation of the character, including a small landscape piece. The instructions for this custom build are available via Rebrickable.
